Services
Research capability, available to you.
Veyra's commercial services arm translates thirty-seven years of research infrastructure into concrete outputs for industry, government, and academic partners. Five service lines, one coordinated team.
Five service lines
Each line is staffed by dedicated specialists and draws on the Institute's core facilities and research groups as needed.
Scientific & Analytical
Materials characterization, bioanalytics, imaging, and computational modeling.
From XRD and cryo-EM to high-throughput bioassays and GPU-accelerated simulations, our analytical scientists handle the full sample-to-result cycle.
- Materials characterization
- Bioanalytics & assay development
- Imaging & microscopy
- Computational modeling-as-a-service
Patent & IP
Prior-art searches, patent drafting support, licensing, and IP strategy.
Our IP specialists work alongside technical experts who hold active research positions, so the prior-art analysis is grounded in current scientific understanding.
- Freedom-to-operate searches
- Patent drafting support
- Technology licensing
- IP portfolio strategy
Software & AI
Custom ML development, MLOps, AI audits, and scientific simulation software.
Including access to Veyra Atlas, our pretrained model for materials property prediction, available via API or as a deployed service.
- Custom ML model development
- Data pipelines & MLOps
- AI advisory & audits
- Veyra Atlas (materials prediction)
Equipment Rental
Hourly instrument access across all five core facilities.
External users can book time on the cryo-TEM, NMR, mass spectrometer, HPC cluster, and more at published rates with transparent booking terms.
- Cryo-TEM, confocal, AFM
- NMR, MS, XRD instruments
- Meridian GPU cluster nodes
- Cleanroom fabrication bays
Contract Research & Consulting
Sponsored projects, expert consultations, and researcher secondments.
Engagements range from a one-hour expert call to a multi-year sponsored research program with dedicated staff and IP rights negotiated at the outset.
- Sponsored research projects
- Expert consultation sessions
- Researcher secondments
- Technical advisory retainers
Who we serve
Our external partners span industry, government, healthcare, and academic institutions in more than 30 countries.
Industry
Manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, advanced materials, energy, and technology companies that need access to analytical, computational, or IP capability beyond their in-house capacity. We work with teams from early-stage startups through to large R&D divisions.
Government & regulatory bodies
National laboratories, standards agencies, and policy research units that require independent analysis, technical evidence, or specialist computational modeling. Veyra holds no political alignment and publishes all fundamental findings.
Healthcare & life sciences
Hospital research departments, biotech firms, and clinical-stage companies that require bioanalytics, imaging, or bioinformatics support. Our Biofoundry and Advanced Microscopy Centre handle high-throughput biological workflows.
Academic institutions
Universities and research institutes without on-site access to specialist equipment — cryo-EM, 600 MHz NMR, or large-scale GPU compute — can book instrument time or commission analysis through our services desk.
How engagements work
Most services follow a short four-step process from initial enquiry to delivered results.
- 1
Initial enquiry
Contact the services desk by phone or email. A services coordinator will respond within one business day to clarify scope, confirm the right service line, and identify which facility or specialist team is best placed to help.
- 2
Scope & quotation
For analytical and consulting services, we prepare a written scope of work and a fixed or time-and-materials quote denominated in Veyra credits (cr). Equipment rental is billed at published hourly rates. IP and software engagements are quoted after a brief technical discovery call.
- 3
Agreement & access
We issue a standard services agreement or a sponsored-research agreement as appropriate. External users accessing campus facilities complete the facility access and induction process before their first booking. Typical turnaround for agreement execution is three to seven working days.
- 4
Delivery & reporting
Results are delivered in the agreed format — data files, a written technical report, a patent search report, or a deployed model endpoint. We include a documented methodology section in all reports and retain project data for 36 months in accordance with our data management policy.
